Connecting the Last Mile Project
Computer Training and Telecommunications Program in African Schools and Rural Communities
In an effort to use telecommunications to develop sectors such as health, education The Lets Go Africa Foundation seeks partners and Community involvement, to extend internet to the walls of schools, libraries, villages and rural information centers. The Foundation uses a bottom-up approach to bring problems to mind. It involves using the Internet to have a vision of capturing smart students and use the wisdom of chiefs and elders with multimedia technologies. Students in towns and villages will be specifically tasked with a responsibility to learn how their villages and cultures might learn greater self-sufficiency by the use of the Internet. The Foundation seeks African youth to be exposed to science, social studies cultural and health issues through the Internet. Our Plan with partners seeks to connect the last mile of the Information Superhighway and treat it as a people issue is not a telecommunications issue. The Let's Go Africa Foundation believes that the internet and telecommunication technology will change the African World . The highly creative people in the villages will have access to information to shake up and help to develop the African Continent. Our Strategy 1.0 To ensure that all African Government leaders, politicians, regional and district leaders learn how to type and have access to the Internet. 3.0 To donate computers to schools in the towns and villages 3.0 To ensure that typing is made compulsory in all schools
